In an average world, choose to be unique. To the multi-talented founder of NYTAQ, those are words to live by. NYTAQ stands for Not Your Typical Average Queen. It’s with no surprise that Fernanda Kelly, NYTAQ's founder, is the perfect embodiment of the brand name.

When you first meet Fernanda, you immediately feel her creative passion and boss energy. After working in the entertainment industry for Telemundo and Univision, she decided to pivot towards something more creative. Over the past few years, Fernanda focused on growing NYTAQ, her empowerment brand.

Her most impactful piece to-date is her line, Con Ovarios.

The statement was born out of Fernanda's journey and struggles. "I've gone through some difficult times. Moments when I had no money, no power. People would ask, how I still move through those difficult days? I would reflect on how you need a thick skin to follow your career dreams. It takes cojones as the saying goes, or in my case, ovarios. And that's when the idea for Con Ovarios. was born."

Fernanda never imagined how much the message would resonate with others. "Following your career dreams can be a lonely journey, especially if it's not a traditional career path. At the end of the day, even if you have a strong emotional support system, only you can make your dreams happen. The struggle is real. The struggle is yours. And it takes ovarios to follow your dreams."

As for the future of NYTAQ, Fernanda sees the movement's growth as a force for good and empowerment. "I’m so happy to see how it’s encouraging men and women around the world. Con Ovarios. is about accepting fears and moving forward fearlessly. We all have doubts, but sometimes we just have to do that thing. We have to launch that project. We need to let ourselves shine. And we have to do it Con Ovarios."
